Crawl under the car and take a look at the creankshaft,you may need to to turn the engine over to find it but there will be a "1M" or "2M"
stamped into the crank. a "1M" means its a 289
the "2M" would be a 302. By the way you do have a 302 block either way if it has "302" cast into the lifter valley.
