VIN should be stamped on the lip of the inner fender well under the Left front fender. You have to unbolt the fender from just under where the hood covers the bolts and right near the shock tower should be the number. You might be able to see where it's stamped from underneathe by the coil spring.
: I bought My 77 Maverick about a year or so ago, well changed the title anyway. There is no vin plate on the dash, it is blank. the doors are old and any vin on the sides are gone. The title is in my name but after taking a look at it the VIN is Bogus. Three insurance companies have turned me down for an "Invalid" VIN. Two questions here are, Where else on the Car might I find the true vin. If I don't find the VIN what insurance companies can I use that don't verify the VIN. State Farm, allstate and farmers do the verification.
