Charlie and Rickyracer are right, it will definitely fit. I am currently using a 68 Mustang shifter myself. The linkage that Charlie was talking about is the lever on the trans., you have to drop the pan, and vavle body (but don't panic, it is very easy because there is no seal between the valve body and casing), once the valve body is out, you have to remove the shifter lever in the trans and flip it over and reinstall it. When doing this, you must be very careful when installing the valve body because the lever has to fit with it perfectly along with the kickdown lever. Just take things slowly when doing it, and be patient so there are no mistakes. If you have and questions or problems please post here again and I will help ya out because I have done this many times.
