THanks for the response, but i left something out...it's the rubber brake hose that broke. I spent some tiem looking at it today--the '71 hose that i have just has two ends with two connections, while mine has a chassis mount on one end and a section of metal tubing that then connects to the drum on the other. I'm fairly good at fabricating (read as "hick-rigging") stuff, but this is just way out of my league. I think i'm going to go check out some junkyards tomorrow and see what i can find out about the later brake connections.
