Hi!
I recently bought a '72 Grabber to replace my '77 that I had made to LOOK like a '72 Grabber because, being a Michigan car, it was turning to dust before my eyes :(

This '72 is an almost rust-free Southern car...I said "almost"...
The inner part of the cowl area(under the "grates" between the windshield and the hood) has rusted through and now leaks water into the passenger compartment on the driver's side. My '77's cowl area wad made of galvanized steel...I believe the earlier Mavs(like my '72) were not.

Has anyone tackled this type of repair? Any advice?
I will be removing the dashboard,so that won't be a problem. Does anyone know if anyone makes repair panels for this area?

The rest of the car is solid and straight, so I will find a way to repair this one way or another. Just want to know if anyone out there has gone down this road before...

Thanks!

Mark S.
