These cowls do not come off easily. The windshield, dash, fenders, & hood have to be removed. Then there is about 200 spotwelds that have to be drilled out. After all that, you can use 67 Mustang repair panels & modify them. Sometimes they can be repaired from underneath when the dash is out but you have virtually no way to prime & waterproof the top to keep them from rusting again.
I had to remove the cowl frim my Sprint because a tree limb fell on it & mangled it too bad to repair. I ground my cowl off with a grinder .Then got a sacrificial car & cut under the cowl in the firewall to remove the whole cowl area. Then flipped the good cowl upside down & ground the unwanted metal till I had a bare cowl.
I did the rust repair on a 67 Mustang & they are set up alot alike. Good luck
