I have a good friend that races corvettes and he showed me a cool trick
for the intake. He cut holes just under the open slots infront of the
windshield, right in the firewall. He then took an after market air cleaner
( the crome parts ) and sealed all but two 4" by 6-8" gaps and then ran
tubes to the slots in the firwall. Evidently the tubes were fairly short
and the air that got sucked in was right at the base of the windshield
so it worked like a charm.
I have a '77 Mav and it looks like there is plenty of room to
cut the holes and not mess with were the hood sits. ( I haven' mustered the guts to cut yet :)
I sapose this idea isn't all that new, some of the old timers may have seen
this before, but I thought it was pretty trick. I hope everyone understood what I was
trying to say, it can be hard to describe this sort of thing without a picture.
I hope
