Its easier to just get a cowl induction hood than to cut into the cowl area. But you are right there is plenty of room to add duct work to the air cleaner. This is exactly what NASCAR teems do to there cars to get cool air induction under the stock hood. Good luck and make sure you take lots of pictures.
