JCL, think a second. The guy says exactly the same thing but he takes 1 and a half inches out of the frame rails and boxes them in. Then slides the crossmember under the frame rails and does the job that way. There are huge advantages to doing the swap his way.

1. You can use everything stock Mustang II and those parts are available after-market and pretty cheap. I mean breaks, suspension and steering parts. You could offset the 3 inch narrower front end with wider front tires tucked under the sheel wells. A viriety of wheel and spacing combinations could get back the 1 and a half inches on both sides but that isn't a big deal.

You would use Mustang II alignment spects for your Mav becasuue it would basically be a Mustang II in the front.

Cutting the cross member does this: 1 makes it weaker, 2 screws up all the stock mustang II options, 3 gives you another possible spot where you could screw it up. We are talking steering here JCL. my rule of thumb is to keep any mod as stock as possible. Get back to me on your thoughts.
