ok mavdude, so i looked up some dimensions on the two cars in question.
pinto front track width: 55"
mav front track width: 55.5"
the track widths are close to the same so the whole unit would work using all stock parts, if you boxed in the frame rails good enough. chopping up your frame rails weakens them considerably. i'll go home tonite and do some more measuring (i've got a pinto and a mav at my house) i'll get back to you with some real life dims tomorrow. this is a good discussion about a very nice upgrade. thanks mavdude...
