Looks like a doable swap, I didnt do it this time because its almost winter, and even though its San Diego, we do get some rain! I work on my cars outside and my car is already immobile due to an engine swap. In the future I would like to do it. I plan on using a aftermarket front cross member ($450), and then using junkyard spindles/upper/lower control arms and springs ($75-100). For the radius rods, my friends instructions on a Heidt's MII Crossmember (for a 52 chevy truck) states to heat them up/bend them almost straight, and they supplied brackets to anchor the strut rods, pretty clean, they then use the factory bushings. While 9" brakes are prolly ok, I plan on upgrading to a 11" rotor/brake package ($300) from one of the hot rod shops. Rebuilt ford racks are about $150. Thats my thoughts as of know, to me it looks like it will run about $900 for hopefully a rolling front suspension package, You can do it cheaper, but its still less than a TCP Rack swap and you get a lot more. Im slow when it comes to this type of mods, so ill wait until a better time but for someone with more experience and an indoor shop, you could do it much quicker! If any of you do this swap before me, PLEASE take lots of pictures so we dont have to reinvent the wheel!

Mav Update

by the way everyone, the motor/trans is back in but havnt go the intake/front dress on yet, the headers from the 65 stang fit pretty good, they are close to the steering box though, will see how that goes. Hopefully close to running this or next week ???
