: Yesterday I popped on over to the mustang shopping mall to check out a '78 (double checking compatibilty... taking NO chances as you can guess...)
: I will not be blinded by sport mirrors or bucket seats *drool...*
: The potential doner is still up for sale but the starter thing worries me. He said it needs a starter... (Of course my first reation is, "why doesn't he buy one and then sell it?".
: Hmmmm...
: Mav's are notorious for having their flywheels "eat starters" (been there twice) and don't fancy the idea of rebuilding yet another tranny (having it done) on top of things.
: I will NOT buy this doner without hearing it/seeing it move under it's own power. Should I a) buy a yard starter to test it? b) make sure I have a knowlagable car person there? (getting somewhat scarse)
: c) Walk away without looking at it? It's been listed for a month with no takers... I have been saving and planning for this and I'll soon have the cash in hand. I don't want to blow it AGAIN!
: Thanks guys....
Been there a month and no takers! and it "ONLY" needs a starter? Something smells fishy,(and it's not coming from Pike Place Market) I would run ,not walk away from it.
