I dunno what kind of Holleys you were using, but I find that Holleys generally get a bad rap because people buy an old used Holley and build it, then it doesn't work quite right so they buy a NEW edelbrock (those carbs are too new for a big used market) and then are AMAZED at how consistent and nice it is, its just a matter of old vs. new, I bought a new Holley at it was way nicer than the $15 swap meet 600 I had. No way a carb company would sell as many carbs as Holley if 'most' of them leaked.
Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with the folks that said Edelbrocks are good paperweights, they're good carbs, but performance-wise Holley is better hands down. Show me a class-winning drag car w/an Edelbrock. Edelbrocks are easy to tune but an Autolite 2V is easy to tune too. That's not what I'm after. -CP
