Okay, everyone knows about the header situation of last month. Been there, done that. Now as I close in on getting the Mav driveable, my problems turn to the rest of the exhaust. I am using a Heddman 2 1/2" universal x-pipe with 2 1/2" Flowtech Afterburner mufflers. My problem is: drivers side clearnce at the tranny mount. The passenger side fits, no problem there. On the driver side there is about a half inch interference, and that would be the tranny mount. Anyone have any ideas? Modify the tranny mount maybe? I have thought about notching the transmission mount for the clearance I need and welding a plate inside the mount for some added strength, but, I do not know if this would be the best way to go.
So, I am wide open for suggestions from those of you who have done this or had to have this done.
BTW, thanks Rickyracer for the instructional on the lifter adjustment. I printed it out and am basically waiting to get my exhaust finished and some other small stuff before I do that part. Getting closer....
