The chrome strips on the door have a bolt and nut at each end and studs thru the rest. The holes need to be welded shut & the studs can be ground off. The nuts can be reached at the front & back of the door. You dont have to remove any panels. Once you get the nuts off then carefully pry the trim off. The clips then slide off the studs. The ones under the wing window, if I remember correctly just use the studs, but you might want to pull the side panels for access to the back side to make sure. If this stainless trim is in good shape (no bends or dings) & you can save the clips, then I would be interested in buying it from you.
: I also had the vinyl roof that you are talking about. Does it have the chrome strip that goes along the edge of the roof line, and does it end at the bottom edge of the rear window. I removed the vinyl roof and the chrome strips. The chrome strips had rivets sticking up I think that I ground down smooth. I am not too sure because I did this part about 5 years ago. As for the chrome strip directly under the windows. Most Mavericks had this, I think it looks better with it than without. I hope this helps. If not post more questions or email me and I will try to help you more.
