I think you will find the entire "old car" hobby is moving toward restomod. Restomod doesn't mean that is has to be radical. You can keep all the parts "bolt-on" and save your old parts incase you ever want to put it back original. It is alot easier to resomod a Maverick than it is to restore one.

It also depends on condition. If the car is in excellemnt shape and needs very little, then I would go restored. If it needs "everything" redone (paint, interior, driveline, and more)then I would lean toward restomod. I have one of each for the above reasons.
