Restore,...or restomod???

Some advice please.I have a 72 Grabber,302 V8,factory A/C,factory 3-speed manual w/floor shifter.Some of my friends say restore,some say modify at least the drive train.How rare is this car really?Would it be worth it to restore to factory original?The VIN#'s are:2X93F188695
body code:62D color:3J trim:HB trans:1 axle:6 dso:22
All pro's and con's will be considered.All opinions welcome.
