I agree...get the rust cut out. I manage a body shop for a Lincoln Mercury dealership so I speak from experience. If you repair it using only body filler, you can expect it to start popping back out in probably less than six months. You need to find someone that puts pride in his work or you may wind up with more filler and less metal anyway, so be careful who you choose. There are so many shops that just want to repair your car as fast as they can and get it out the door. Be willing to spend a little more money on labor and be sure they cut out ALL of the rust...Check up on them during this process!!! Good luck, Ray Parrish
