you have the EPA to thank for the prices now. They've closed down most of the shops and the ones that did stay open have big EPA charges to pay. Which is passed along to you.

:My 72 Mav front bumper needs to be re-chromed. The rear bumper should probably be done too, but I have a problem with the prices I've been seeing. A local WI car restoration shop wants $265 each, another place wants $292. I think I saw someone (Roger Mailhiot or Chuck Stalnaker??) can do them for $150 apiece. I'd appreciate any comments or advice.
