:I think you are talking about an actual shifter, these guys are talking about a kit that contains some parts (not sure, valve body, seals, gaskets, etc.) that are actually used on the transmission internals.

:As for your shifter question, most of them are cable operated, if not all. It really doesn't take a whole lot more than cutting a hole and bolting it in place.

::$25 sounds awful cheap. What else do you need to convert a column-shift automatic to one of these? -- besides the hole in the transmission tunnel ;)
