:To get the shelf out you have to take out the back seat and the side panels, you have to take out the entire back seat, the lower back seat is hooked from underneath so you have to squeeze top and bottom togather from the front. It should slide right out but you might have to fight it. The top half is easy, there are two bolts holding it from the bottom and after that it pops up and off. The side panels are really easy to take off, just some philips screws and they slide forward and off. Make sure you pull toward you dash as there is a thing in there that pinches the panel to the quarter window area. After that the shelf comes right out. You might think about carpeting it as it tends to rattle if you don't. You might have some insulation in the way too, it just pulls off. If you want to go bigger and louder you can mount a pair of 12's in the opening between the cab and the trunk, I could probobly post a pic if you want.

That would be cool if you could post a picture. I assume you mean a pair of 12 inch subs. That would be a good idea and I might do that in the future but right now I am on a limited budget so I am buying the Alpine cde-7858 and Probably two 6x9 kenwoods or pioneers in the back and two tweeters up front. i want to be able to listen to some good music instead of dealing with an am radio and one 4x6 speaker in the dashboard. Thanks to everyone for there suggestions and help.
