Fastman, I've heard the same thing about 86 HO's but I can't figure out why everyone says that. It has to be in the upper and lower intakes. I found that the 86 and 91 HO motors have the very same E7 heads (I have sets from both and they are the same). So the difference must be in the cam and intake. The pistons are the same as well. Therefore, if one wants to use the 86 roller block with a carb they would have the same motor as the newer blocks unless the cam is substantially different. Any thoughts?
