You would have to do some pretty serious shock tower modifications in order to put the Boss 302 in. The Boss engine comes with 351 Cleveland style heads and are much wider than standard 302 heads. They also take a much larger exhaust manifold or header size. I think I would scrap that idea unless you're ready to really dig deep into the ole pocket book. If you could find a good used Boss 302 engine alone, you would probably have to fork out at least 3 grand and then have to rebuild. That cost would be on top of the shock tower mods. Most people don't realize the rarity and value of an actual Boss 302 engine. There are even a lot of people that say they have one and really have no idea what one actually is and that in turn gives other people the wrong ideas. I have a true 1970 Boss 302 Mustang so I hear lots of stories about people that have them or use to have one years ago in their 4-door Granada and such as that.
Oh well, I guess anythings possible. Anyway, good luck whichever way you decide to go.
