Old Guy and Ricky-
Right now I have about $275 in the heads with
1)bare castings
2)the stainless 1.94/1.6 valves
3)guideplates and ARP screw-in rocker studs

I have looked at the aftermarket products: cast iron and aluminum. I was seriously considering the Edelbrock(sp?)
Performer heads for non-emissions ('74 car) but no dealer
would tell me via telephone or e-mail(couldn't see them
in person) if my factory A/C and P/S would connect.

I am still looking for someone to do the work on the heads.
A buddy of mine has talked to a guy in California-we're
in NC, and he says this guy will assemble bare small block
heads using his stainless valves, guideplates, screw-in studs,
port and bowl work and have them ready to bolt on for 'very
good street performance' for $795 plus shipping to him.
