question about 1976 stallion model

ok i want to put a bigger engine in my '76 mav its got the straight 6 250 in it i want to know whats the biggest engine you can fit into it and how hard it would be to switch it into a manual right now its an automatic. thanx for your guy's time -Wesley Magyar-
