Wes, the absolute best swap over to a bigger engine would (in my opinion) be nothing more than a 302. You'll have to come up with the right components such as mounts and brackets but this is a direct bolt in as quite a few of these cars came with the 302 from the factory. If you try to go to anything bigger, you're asking for trouble such as changing the spark plugs, or even worse, having to modify your shock towers to accomadate something bigger than the 302. Your best bet would be to try and come up with a donor car. There are still quite a few old 4-door Mavericks out there with 302's just waiting to be scooped up for this very project. I've already robbed two of them...disc brakes and all. Just take your time and do a little searching. If and when you find one, you'll be amazed at how many good (hard-to-find) parts you'll be able to salvage from this car. Good luck with the Stallion, those are getting pretty scarce.
Ray
