Before all these swaps became popular I did my first one back in 92. I used 302 headers and had to "modify" them a little.
The spark plugs aren't that bad to change out. I think you people have been spoiled working on 4&6 bangers. Live with it. Can't have your cake and eat it too. If you think the plugs are hard to change on this swap, go look at the plugs on the BB Stangs and early Fairlanes. There is some tricks that make it easier. Like using a 6" vacuum hose on the tip of plug to start it into the head, Then tighten it. If you want it to be easy, then you're in the wrong hobby field. Try changing a little bulb on your dash sometime. And headers will fit on the drivers side with out lifting the engine. Mind over matter. :I have read many of the posts about the 351W swap into the mav. There seems to be differing opinions on how well it fits. My questions are, can you change plugs and install headers on the 351W installed in a mav without any mods to the shock towers. Someone posted some nice pics of modified towers but I was just wondering if that was really necessary for the 351W swap!
