You need them. A good parts store should be able to look them up by application. They go between the caliper bracket and the bottom end of the inside pad (one per side)

:Not so. All the Granada/Maverick calipers were designed to use a small metal clip which holds the pad in place on the caliper. You may not have had one because the PO probably tossed it without realizing he needed it.

:You can still get them at the auto parts store for a couple of bucks, but no amount of "glue" will properly retain the pads and keep them from rattling.
