If you'd read his message you'd know he was taking about the slinger that slides on the crank shaft as he stated, not bolted on the cam gear. Cam gear has the Fuel pump eccentic, not the slinger. The earlier engines used a slinger then they came up with the drip tray casting into the cover and phased out the slinger. The EFI have the drip tray and need no fuel pump eccentic and the plate isn't even case into the cover. The slinger & fuel pump eccentic are totally different parts and don't even go on the same part of the timing gears. And then they also made a two eccentic too.

:That is not an oil slinger, but a fuel pump "cam". This "slinger" is what pumps the mechanical fuel pump. The EFI motors don't have this mechanical pump....so they don't need this "cam". They use an electric fuel pump.
