:It was a dealer option. A clock was optional to replace the Maverick logo. I have one without the clock as well, it is the only one I have ever seen. I also found a NOS clock for it, but I don't think I will install it. Follow the link to my website to see some info and pictures about the consolette. Thanks Charlie, I had already found your site after doing some extensive investigating. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into your site as it is very helpful to all of us Maverick lovers out there. I should soon have three 71 Grabbers (one for 26 years) ready for show and intend on setting up my own site detailing the work I put into the cars. I actually have four of these cars but I may put the fourth one up for sale. Attached is a picture of the latest one I have ready. Thanks again for your help.
