just use the year of the spindles for the balljoints you're going to. No shims required, the threads are the same as the older years. For the front springs, stay with the standard V-8 or bigger 6cyl springs, with the Shelby A-arm change it'll lower your front end about a inch anyway. The best caliber/disc, depends on how much money you want to spend. The factory calibers are pretty good, just use the right disc-pad material for your application, rotors don't cut them to thin or they'll wrap on you. As far as the other items you need, what part of the country do you live in, I know of a 74 with a V-8, C-4 just setting in the junkyard.(COMPLETE)

:I have these plans to do that 1" Shelby drop of the upper control arm. The plan is to acquire front disc brakes from a 75 at this junkyard and as I install them I will change the inner tie-rod ends and lower the upper control arms. My question is where do I get the ball joint shims required to do this? Also, what are the best springs to get when switching to a v-8? What kind of sources for sub-frame connectors do ya'll know of...Make my own? Last one; what is the best disc and caliper for the 75 spindles?(year make) I want fat brakes, suspension and lastly a v-8! I'm saving dough!
:73 grandma's mav..........2 door.....love it! right now I'm running an electric fan on a 250 six......I need a kickdown linkage and throttel cable....and frame brace....maybe trans mount......Oh, engine. Now is your chance to shape the directiotn of this car's destiny. Thanks For The In-put.
