you can but the towers have to be cut as in the article from the other post. Most people are just afraid to cut on their car. The blue wrench is such a scary site to behold when it's near your car. And it just depends on what you want out of your ride.
I have a 72 Grabber, that I got rid of the Grabber hood, "I think" they look like hell, and used a standard hood with a Torino Cobra shaker scoop on it. Looks much tougher if you ask me. And besides it "personalizes" it more to my liking.


:Check out page 78 of the August Car Craft. It has a pic of Dyno Don Nicholson's 427 SOHC Maverick that he raced in 1971. All it really shows is the engine. Look closely, the car appears to still have the shock towers intack. My question is then, why can't we squeeze in something bigger than a 351 without doing away with the towers and installing a Mustang II front suspension ?
