Cowl induction hoods.

I just got a "homemade" cowl induction hood, that has MAJOR amounts of bondo in it. Would it be worth putting on the car for any horse power gains? It doesn't seam any heavier than the stock hood just lots of "mud" in it to make the transion to the new higher section of the hood.
