:Thanks for sharing the photos. I guess that means the Triton's out........... *G*.
: :I have an awesome built 351W that might be in though, what was the original application on those headers?
I doubt anyone that says that they got a bigger engine in without real mods. As you can see I have had to cut the shock towers and I would have had to do more if I hadn't moved the engine up and back. Up by 2 inches back 4 inches. I had to crush 2 of my pipes about 1/4 of an inch. I even tried to cut out part of the pipe coming out of the head and shorten it and weld it back together. The A arms and all get in the way. Ask some of the guys that have stuck in a 351w and you will know it's a small project. I will, when I get the rest cut, put photos on the site and update the board so others can see exactly how we did it. I won't however fill in with a plate as others have. Reason for this is, there is little enough room to change plugs. I will leave that open and make braces to keep the shock towers form sagging inward. The extra room where the cuts are made allow for easy plug changing. My friend that is doing all the mods, has done 3 before this. He has it down. He is as I have stated before a builder for 7 NHRA winners. The braces and all are not there for show and the looks will not be real great, just functional. My 60' times will be quicker since I changed the center of balance by moving the engine too! Too busy to go much further, but hope this all helps you. I can't wait to get my car done.
