Winter is coming, What should I do to get the mav ready to sit?

The evil white stuff finally came, it's gone now but I know it is making a plan of attack to make my maverick rust. I am going to garage the mav this year and not drive it (I bought a 78 Buick Park Ave to drive during the winter, it screams Grandma!) I was wondering what all I should do to prep the mav to sit for so long. Thank you to all posts.
