:The evil white stuff finally came, it's gone now but I know it is making a plan of attack to make my maverick rust. I am going to garage the mav this year and not drive it (I bought a 78 Buick Park Ave to drive during the winter, it screams Grandma!) I was wondering what all I should do to prep the mav to sit for so long. Thank you to all posts. I would add some Sta-Bil, (not sure of the spelling) to the gas. You can get it at hardware stores. It comes in a small can. Drive it long enough to make sure it gets in the carburetor. Make sure your radiator has enough anti-freeze (for rust also) and put the car on jack stands. Trickle charge the battery once a month and you should be good to go. |
