...While touring a yard today, I see that the Monarch,Granada and larger size Ford/Mercs have a sport mirror option that looks the same as the Mav/Comet option with a small difference only in that the base mount to the door is squared, front and rear where the Mav is pointed front and squared rear. Mav mirrors are starting to get pricey, so here is a good sub if the difference is acceptable and they are remote both sides to boot. There is is also two mirror glass mounting styles. Just turn the mirror and look behind. One is a horizontal bar held with two screws. The other is one screw near the base. All phillips screws.
