I got my 1989 302 today, IT supposed to be rated at 9.0:1 compression. I know for a fact that the pistons come to the deck. To my knowledge this is a stock block. Anyways i am thinking about the heads, i got the stock E7's, i am "supposed" to be having some 1995 E7's coming in assuming the guy didn't take my money and run on ebay - has been afew weeks now and i got the old stock 74 heads. I am thinking about getting a set of 289 heads out of the mag and having them ported polished and matched. They are supposed to be 58cc where the E7's are supposed to be 64cc. Whats the boost in compression and would it be worth it to just have the E'7s shaved, done over and have 1.94/1.60 valves put in em? I am not sure what the increase in compression would do for me power wise and not sure if going over 9.0:1 in a street engine on 92 fuel is wise? Anyways, any suggestions?

Thanks all

oh, my headers, and rims go on tomorrow, not sure when the block will go in, my friend is telling me to get a 2nd car before we do it - my brain is telling me to get it in now lol...
