Well it took me 5 hours to remove and dismantle the engine. I have definitley done this way too many times. I could have probably taken an hour off that time but I was being careful to label all parts and bolts for an easy re-installation.

It looks like I spun the number 1 rod bearing, chewed it up spit it out and maeesed up the rod. The piston is also trashed because without the bearing in place it had enough play to come down in the block far enough to hit the couterweights on the crank. It looks like I need 1 piston, 1 rod, might as well do all rod and main bearings while they are out, regrind the messed up journal on the crank if it isn't too bad (I hope not because it is a stroker crank). This engine only has a couple thousand miles on it so everything else is all right. I will probably replace the cam with something bigger with about a .510 lift or maybe a Comp Cams Nitrous cam. I hope to have it back together in a month with everything repainted (not yellow this time) and polished. I'm looking for an old oven to do powder coating so everything stays nice and shiny.
