:I think if the Maverick were to ever be reintroduced, it would have to be "high-end" performance. We have WAY to many cheapy performance wannabes around today.
:
:I think it would be nice to see it go to a two seater, weigh roughly 2,900-3,100 lbs., RWD(a must) or possibly AWD, an inline six standard (redesigned 200) DOHC, DI, VCT, twin plugs, VCR, six speed manual standard, 5 speed auto optional, 3.9L(Lincoln LS) V8 optional, future posibilities include: DI, VCT, VCR, and headers should be standard on both engines as well as "Ram Air". IRS and trac-control are also musts.
:
:I know some of you may not like my idea, but oh well. I think it would better serve as a Viper/Vette fighter than a Neon/Honda competitor (YUK!). We already have the Focus(which I like), but we don't need another!
:
:If you like mid-size performance, lets try to get a Fairlane back into production. We finally got the Marauder!

I would also like to add that a SC option should be available. The 3.9 V8 can make 375-400 HP in production trim if Ford wanted to push it. I have read about some people getting over 1,000 HP out of that little 3.9 V8 in full race trim. And if a new 200(3.3L) were to be made, it would have to push 300+HP to be competitive. Ford has said that their 2.5 V6 will be pushing 250 HP by 2004.

As for an interior: Brushed aluminum on the dash, door panels etc, full instrumentation(no dummy gauges), buckets, 6 disc cd player with 6 speakers. I believe a rollbar should be included along with a removable hardtop.
