I dont have a clue why they are wired this way. I looked in a wiring diagram to see if I could tell. from what i can gather, it looks like one wire is used in the start position and the other in run. I dont remember which was which or why this would be. But I found that either or both work fine. I've converted 2 Mavericks and 1 mustang and they are all working fine. The oldest being over 3 years ago & the newest one about 8 months ago. Dosent appear to be any long term effects by wiring them both in.
