I put in my DuraSpark (250 6 banger) out of a 78 Granada today... HUGE difference in the way the car runs. The old ignition must have been completely worn out. I still can't believe how good it runs with this setup. Thanks to everyone who helped with tips on how to set this up. And I do have one question/comment for Ken. I appreciate the explanation on the two different wires that input into the control module, but I found a diagram that shows it backwards from the way you explained it. I would NEVER say that you were wrong, since I had no clue to begin with, but the diagram I found shows the white wire being the run and the red wire being the start... shows a lead to the red wire from the "i" post on the starter solenoid. My question is, if you wanted to set it up like factory with a start and a run, would it really matter which one you chose for which? Or is there a reason you should stick with the white as the start and the red and the run? Thanks again Earl ![]() Related link: DuraSpark Diagram |
