:A few days ago Mike McMaverick started a thread re: cowl covers. I was flipping thru come old magazines and found something in the May01 Mustang Monthly. Called a magnetic cowl protector, it "lies atop the factory cowl vent opening, sealing out water and debris to minimize the chance of cowl leaks or future damage after repairing the cowl areas." Available from Jake's Mustangs, Dept MM, (860) 674-0584. Anyone out there know if a Maverick cowl vent is the same size as a Mustang's?
: :Tom : :p.s. By the looks of the picture, it appears to be refrigerator magnet material. It's hard to tell the color from a b/w picture, but it looks chrome to me. The little lady drug me into a Michael's Craft Store yesterday and they have refrigerator magnet material in 1 foot by 2 foot sheets. It's paintable and I think it was about 5 bucks. PRobably available in any of the larger craft store chains. Come to think of it, I think I've seen it at Office Depot too. |
