These will help but your treating the symptom rather than the problem. These go inside your existing collars and will create more pockets for water to stay. The cowls will continue to rust. Most of rust i've seen are not in the collars themselves, but in the surrounding metal. It depends on how wide the bottom lip is on the plastic collars, and how spread out your rust is on your cowl, to know wether it will do you any good at all.
