Just a quick one here....i have the transmission hump mounting bracket for a floor shifter, but the shifter was already gone. My friend has his old floor shifter out of a '66 Mustang, will it work (minor mods, of course)? He wants $10 for the shifter and the linkage. The shifter, i notice, is a little shorter in dimensions--and i can work that out--but i'm wondering if there are any other problems i should expect to run into? Also, anyone have a template for creating the transmission linkage (converting from a column shift to a floor shift, so the actual linkage on the transmission needs to be reversed and probably fabricated)?
