I am getting the roller motor soon and know that i will need to put MAJOR attention to the tranny (its sick i think) and suspenion to stay on the road and to put the new found power to the road as even the stock for stock swap will add 100hp and 60 ft/tq. I have a PSE catalog and have plans to get the front end rebuild that includes all the bushings ect ect. I plan on replacing the front sway bar and need to get a rear sway bar. Shocks will be replaced as well. The focus again is to run a 13.1 on engine and add a 125 to 150 hp shot. The car will see rare runs to the 1/4 mile and is mostly gonna be used as a cruiser and stop light defender when the chance rears up. High speed will not be a factor for any long period of time. Trips down the highway will keep me to 350 type gears unless i can run 370 type and run under 3K rpm at 65 mph on a C4 tranny. The car will not be road raced so handling is not real important but i do want to get the lean out of it on the freeway ramps and want to get some power to the ground on launches should i decide to get on it. That all said, what rear sway bar will bolt in the 74 maverick? What shocks should i look at? Are the PSE rebuild kits easy to put in? IS there anything else i should look at that will save money and time that will help with handling and power transfer?
