You say it won't be road raced and then you say you want it to handle corners better. It's hard to make a hard launching drag car take corners like a road car. For a drag car you would remove the front sway bar and not have a rear.
If you want the cheapest way to do both then I suggest to first not get the rear sway bar. It is unneccesary weight and you won't make use of it. Instead get the Urethane leaf spring bushings. These help alot in body roll, I have them and I can push on the side of my car and the only movement is in the sidewall. There isn't much urethane you can put in the front end. Pretty much just sway bar bushings and end links. I'd suggest quality ball joints and other bushings such as MOOG parts and definitely not anything from Autozone.
You will definitely need some subframe connectors, I got mine from Jeg's and they are made by South Side Machine. Another one of the best ways I stiffened up my suspension and improved launch was I installed a set a Southside Machine Lift bars. They are kind of like traction bars but the front bolts to front of the leaf spring instead of slapping into it and provides great weight transfer but stiff for street driving (also available from Jeg's but not in the catalog, you have to call)
