you can paint them just fine. any body man can do it. obviously the gel coat need to be buffed up a tad but other then that you paint guy should know what to do.
Yeah.. as Maverick Man already said.. treat is as you would any fiberglass hood for the prep. I would however highly recommend using a premium clearcoat as they tend to have better UV protection packaged in. Maintaining a good paint sealer/wax film would be helpful too.
I wish we could get some vents in the front of the stock hood. Would work to let heat escape at stop lights.
