Yes it was! and there were 5 more ready to let go also, actually a piece of that keeper was laying on the head.
Yeah I believe those springs broke shortly after initial startup, nothing but trouble from them.
I bought the heads used and had them checked out at the cylinder head shop to see if they would be compatible with my cam, from the test he ran,...
I have six (6) broken valve springs between the two heads, one bent valve and luckily no damage to any of the pistons, new springs coming!

Wix is the filter I used on it before I put the stroker kit in it.
