I put 3:80's and a new Traction Lock in my 8" for about $550.00....Lighter than the 9" too Did you have the stock 8 inch rear?
My goal is to turn my stock rear end of my 72 Comet into a positive traction. My buddy said it would be cheaper switch it to a 9 inch rear...

haha my bad lol my buddy has the center section for a 9 inch already, we would just need the gears and such so from what hes said i should be able...
I want one bc I want to turn it into a posi and to do that with an 8 inch is looking really expensive to find the center that I would need....
so if i find a 9 inch rear axle off one it should fit without a problem?
